The vice-chairperson is the primary support of the Chairperson, and has the following responsibilities:

• Stepping in for the Chairperson when they are unavailable or drop out.
• Primary sparring partner for the Chairperson.
• Ensure the well-being of the Chairperson.
• Ensure the proper functioning of the Chairperson.
• Check the decisions of the Chairperson.
• Support the Chairperson in the execution of their tasks.

It is important that the vice-chairperson does not become a second chairperson and always plays a supportive role.
