The secretary is responsible for communications between the Committee and the Musicians. For this, it is important to keep an overview both what information musicians need to function and what other committee members want you to communicate to musicians. Without proper management, the above results in an overwhelming stream of announcements in which information gets lost and which leaves musicians confused. It is the responsibility of the secretary to make sure communication with musicians is clear and manageable.

At a bare minimum, this means sending announcements and messages to musicians. This can be expanded to more carefully managing the information stream, sending reminders, writing wiki articles, maintaining shared calendars, etc.

The secretary is also responsible for monitoring and escalating potential compliance issues based on what they have communicated.
